Dionne is a fashion content creator who, right from the start, has had a perspective we admire so much. “I love fashion but I am also a huge fan of conscious buying, I believe being fashionable isn’t about excessive buying,” she tells us. “When I first started my page I couldn’t actually afford to constantly buy the latest trends, but I didn’t believe that meant I couldn’t be fashionable.” So true! Dionne would look to fashion mags like Vogue to get inspired, then recreate looks and colour schemes via her local charity clothing store — where she could “save money and also help protect the environment.” Goals. Her favourite sustainably focused brand right now? Monsoon — it’s where she’s getting her cold weather knits this season, which she’s looking forward to layering with her trench. Big mood. Speaking of cold weather, Dionne and her glowing attitude felt like the right person to go to while we were thinking (read: freaking out) about seasonal change and how it affects our mind/body/moods. “One of the things I struggle with during the winter season is the loss of daylight,” she tells us. “It always feels like we have less time to get things done during the winter.” Feel you! Now, on to the motivation:
What are you… Reading right now? Oprah Winfrey’s ‘What I Know For Sure’. I find this book to be a great reminder to stay grateful even in the little things. ✔︎ Working on? Planning how to get my own studio for work. ✔︎ Trying to remember? The importance of not comparing myself to others. It can be so easy to compare your life to someone else’s. I feel when you do that it makes it easy to miss the good things that are happening in your own life. ✔︎ Trying to forget? My bad habit of snacking, which I picked up during lockdown. ✔︎ Saving up for? To move into a bigger home, so my daughter has a little more space. ✔︎ Always carrying with you? A drawing from my daughter, she likes to make me one every day. I always keep each new one in my bag, they always cheer me up. ✔︎ What makes you leave the house when you don’t want to? Remembering that feeling of getting some fresh air and being able to do some walking. I find that walking actually helps lift my mood. ✔︎ What’s essential for your bedtime bliss? To start of with a nice hot bath and book. Then a nice cup of green tea before bed. One of my favourites is Clipper fair trade organic green tea. ✔︎ What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? Do what you love and what you feel you were created to do. ✔︎
Born and raised in Amsterdam, Jewaria is a fulltime mother, model and law student. Woah! She loves food “like… a lot,” long walks and discovering culture via museums and concerts. Same, girl. When we asked her about summer ending, she practically screamed: “I’m always so cold, not ready for this weather!” But she’s thankful for a few things that’ll get her through. “The only thing I like about autumn and winter is that it’s super cosy,” she tells us. “Snuggling up on the couch with a cup of tea, or having dinner at home with your friends and some candlelight.” Can we come?! Her hot tips for cold nights are donning a big fluffy robe and slippers, and her electric blanket for bed, about which she admits is “super extra, but I can’t live without it!” The rest of us will have to rely on good mood inspo via her current vibe check:
What are you… Reading/watching/listening to right now? I’m hooked to an old favourite on Netflix again, ‘The Vampire Diaries’. It just fits the season. Reading ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ now, to get inspired. Listening to my new favorite artist called Jakob Ogawa. ‘All Your Love’ and ‘You and I’ are the best! ✔︎ Working on? My career and trying to pass my exams… ✔︎ Trying to remember? To do my homework. I’ve been super lacking lately with my studies because I’ve been so busy with photoshoots. ✔︎ Trying to forget? All the injustice in this world. ✔︎ Saving up for? I’m going to buy my first car tomorrow! Super exciting. After that I’m hoping to save up so I can buy a small apartment in Amsterdam somewhere, hopefully within 2 years. ✔︎ Always carrying with you? My 2-year-old son ;) and lipbalm! ✔︎ What does your best morning routine look like? Waking up at 9am (R.I.P. my pre-child sleep), having an amazing breakfast, long shower and an excessive skin care and makeup routine without being interrupted every 2 seconds. ✔︎ What makes you leave the house when you don’t want to? My child... or an empty fridge! ✔︎ What’s essential for your bedtime bliss? A shower and my 10-step skincare routine. But shower is the most important. I could never touch my bed without showering. My skincare routine is from Paula’s Choice. For my body I use the Weleda rose oil and a body mist from Lush in rose jam (yes I’m super extra but I love to spoil myself after a long day). I recently discovered a cool sustainable brand from Amsterdam that has super nice pajamas and basics. It’s called A-dam. My favorite bedding is from Crisp sheets. The quality is amazing and it’s worth every penny. A candle brand I really love is called Brandt. Their candles are vegan and made from soy wax so it’s not harmful to breath in (most candles are toxic!). ✔︎ What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? Be yourself and believe in yourself!

Meet Guri, she is so many things! Based in Norway, she works as an influencer, cabin crew, PR consultant and as a freelance stylist, plus she is studying to be a medical secretary. Many! She also has really good taste, which is part of why we love her. Some of her fave things are architecture, yoga and having dinner with friends and my family. Unlike a whole lot of us, she is so ready for winter. “I can't wait to wear all of my long coats and all my knits and boots,” she tells us. Plus, she’s also very fond of snow and Christmas — times where wool can be her best friend, basically. If you hadn’t already guessed it, Guri has huge optimistic energy. It makes sense then that we hit her up for some good vibes in regards to summer ending. Here she goes:
What are you… Watching/listening to right now? I have some upcoming exams so now Im trying to focus on school. But I love good movies, eg. ‘Call Me By Your Name’, ‘Beautiful Boy’, ‘Eat Pray Love’. I listen to artists like Bicep, Tourist, Qrion and Angele. ✔︎ Working on? I’m working on myself, to be more alone, doing things that I like to do like yoga and running. ✔︎ Trying to remember? That I’m thankful for having a healthy body, friends and family that are always there for me, and the fact that I live in Norway! ✔︎ Saving up for? Hmm, I’m not saving up for anything special at the moment, but I would love one pair of the ‘Perni 07’ boots from Gia Couture Firenze. They would fit the weather in Norway perfectly! ✔︎ Always carrying with you? AirPods, money, lip balm, keys and my iPhone. ✔︎ What does your best morning routine look like? Waking up after a good night’s sleep, taking a shower and doing my skin routine with a lot of love. Then I need some black coffee and a smoothie. ✔︎ What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? To be honest with yourself <3 and that everything will be better. Nothing is permanent.
This is Milou, and she describes herself as “an all-round creative and a real sucker for sunsets and shadowplays.” If you’re getting the feeling she’s a tender soul, you’re right. She tells us she’s having a bit of a hard time experiencing the season change. “Something with being very sensitive in general,” she explains. “I’m an absolute summer person (and lover), so I can hardly deal with the weather during winter. And the change-of-season-moodiness I mentioned before.” To conquer the seasonal blues, Milou is keeping the cosy magic of holiday season front of mind. As well as the things she goes on to mention below, which include big future dreams (dream house!), warm nostalgia (carefree youth!), and present-day gifts (bunnies!). Read on:
What are you… Trying to remember? What it felt like to be a kid. I really love how carefree we were at that time. ✔︎ Saving up for? For my dream house, which I hope I can create one day. ✔︎ Always carrying with you? I never leave the house without taking my lipbalm and lipstick with me, because my lips always happen to be very dry during the day. ✔︎ What does your best morning routine look like? Waking up because of the sunshine, welcoming the day through the bedroom window, washing my face, making a coffee and enjoying it in the garden while listening to the birds making music. ✔︎ What’s essential for your bedtime bliss? My cuddly little rabbit, I literally cannot sleep without him, haha. ✔︎ What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? Always be kind to and for yourself. Don't push yourself into something that makes you feel restless. Trust and listen to your intuition, it will always lead you in the right direction. ✔︎
