What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that is downloaded onto your device such as computer or smartphone when you access our website. We use cookies in order to make our website work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to us and to any third-party provider about your past, present and future activities on the internet, including your website browsing history, clicks and “likes”. We can use this information to provide you with targeted and interest-based advertising, including cross-device advertising.

All cookies have an owner which tells you who the cookie belongs to. The owner is the domain specified in the cookie. Whenever you visit our website, we place cookies onto your device. Such cookies are called “first-party” cookies, whereas cookies set by a different owner, e.g. Google or Facebook, are called “third-party” cookies.

Below you will find more detailed information about our cookies and the reason for using them.

What types of cookies do we use and why?

We use cookies only to the extent necessary for its purpose, divided into four categories:

Strictly necessary cookies Some cookies are strictly necessary for you to be able to experience the full functionality of our site and for us to deliver upon our promises. For example, these cookies allow you to log-in to your Itsapark account and consume curated content. Without these cookies, some parts of our site and services just won’t work as they should.

Functional cookies Functional cookies allow our site to remember your preferences, helping you to customize your content on our website. This way we can remember you when you return to our site and to give you best possible user experience.

Performance cookies Performance cookies tell us about how you use the site and they help us to make it better. For example, these cookies count the number of visitors to our website and see how visitors move around when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our site works, for example, by ensuring that users find what they are looking for easily.

Targeting cookies Targeting cookies are used to deliver advertised content beyond what is strictly necessary for providing curated content. Advertising cookies can be used to track the effectiveness of our ad campaigns on third party websites. These cookies (third-party cookies) are placed on our site by third-party providers such as Google and Facebook and they may remember your web browsing activity and may be used to understand about your demographics, such as age and gender. Basically, only pseudonymous information is collected and used, and the purpose is to provide you with promotional content that may be relevant to you. These advertising measures can also be carried out across devices.

How long are cookies stored in your browser or on your device?

Cookies can be stored for varying lengths of time on your browser or device. Persistent cookies will be stored in one of your browser's subfolders until you delete them manually or your browser deletes them based on the duration period contained within the cookie's file. Their duration depends on the date of expiry written in them. Session cookies are erased when you close your browser. When you restart your browser and go back to the site that created the cookie, the website will not recognise you. Data gathered through other tracking technologies such as tags and pixels are saved for 24 months.

We use Persistent first- and third-party cookies to gain insights about your shopping preferences so we can provide you with personalized website content and promos.

What is the legal ground to use cookies?

All use of cookies and similar tracking technologies require your consent pursuant to art. 6 para 1 lit. a), 7 GDPR, except for use of strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies. In these cases, data processing is necessary on the one hand to fulfill our obligation to create interest-based content as set out in the Terms & Conditions and can therefore be based on art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR. On the other hand, the data processing is based on art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR and is carried out in the legitimate interest of ensuring the functionality of our website.

Do we share your data with others?

We never sell your data to any third party. Nor do we share your data with anyone except for H&M Group companies and trusted third parties carrying out certain tasks for us in the fields of user configuration, website performance monitoring, website optimization and target group advertising.

In case we need to transfer personal data to countries outside of the EU/EEA not qualifying as a safe country by the European Commission we will yet protect your privacy by the use of approved safeguard measures such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

If you like more detailed information about our data transfers, in particular on the adequate safeguards for third country transfers and where they are available, please contact support-uk@tipser.com.

You can also change your settings for cookies at any time under Cookie Settings or withdraw your consent to certain cookies.

Cookie List

You will find a concrete description of all cookies used by us in the “Cookie Settings”. In this list you will also find detailed information about the providers of the cookies and their duration.

Cookie List

A cookie is a small piece of data (text file) that a website – when visited by a user – asks your browser to store on your device in order to remember information about you, such as your language preference or login information. Those cookies are set by us and called first-party cookies. We also use third-party cookies – which are cookies from a domain different than the domain of the website you are visiting – for our advertising and marketing efforts. More specifically, we use cookies and other tracking technologies for the following purposes:

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms.    You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site will not then work. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.

Performance Cookies

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site.    All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our site, and will not be able to monitor its performance.

Functional Cookies

These cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalisation. They may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our pages.    If you do not allow these cookies then some or all of these services may not function properly.

Marketing Cookies

These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites.    They do not store directly personal information, but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.
