Alternative dispute resolution - what is it?
It is a procedure for alternative, out-of-court settlement of disputes that result from the domestic and cross-border sales of goods and services between a trader established in the EU and a consumer resident in the EU within the EU. These procedures are carried out by a consumer arbitration board that proposes a solution to the parties or brings the parties together with the aim of reaching an amicable settlement.
The consumer arbitration boards are extrajudicial, independent bodies (e.g. arbitrators, mediators, intermediaries or complaints boards) that are used by H&M if the consumer has opted for a procedure for alternative dispute resolution. Alternative dispute resolution procedures provide consumers and businesses with an inexpensive, easy and fast method of arbitration in the event of a dispute by avoiding court costs and lengthy proceedings.
How can I file a complaint as part of an alternative dispute resolution procedure?
