For the people, Lululemon is committing to fair goals across inclusion, diversity, equity and action by 2025. This means being a place to grow leaders by 2023, and one that provides leading mental wellbeing training to all employees globally by next year. It means 100% pay equity across gender and race by 2022. And it also means empowerment programs (human rights education, resilience and wellbeing practices) to more than 100,000 working within the supply chain by 2025.
Hand in hand with social and environmental sustainability is a sustainable self — and Lululemon recognises through promising to invest $75 million USD by 2025 into community wellness programs via direct funding partnerships and advocacy. The brand also commits to providing access to mindfulness tools and movement practices for more that 10 million people globally by 2020, as well as establishing a Centre of Excellence for social impact by next year.
This is the big one! At least 75% of Lululemon’s products will contain sustainable materials by 2025, and 100% of the brand’s products will include sustainable materials and end-of-use solutions by 2030. Plus: resell, repair and recycle options will come in by 2025. Physical product aside, Lululemon is making operational changes as well — by 2021 the company will source 100% renewable electricity, and by 2025 it will reduce its freshwater use and single-use packaging by 50%. We love to see it!
